Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Afedix platform ("the Service"), operated by Afristock Nutrition Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Afedix is a feed formulation software-as-a-service platform designed for the African agricultural market, providing tools for recipe formulation, ingredient and specification management, and related organisational features for individual users, organizations, and consultancy accounts.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Organisations & Roles

Accounts may belong to one or more organizations, with role-based access (including administrator and consultancy roles) governing what actions members can perform. Organisation administrators are responsible for managing their organisation's membership and access levels.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription tier. Subscription fees, where applicable, may be processed via M-Pesa or other supported payment methods. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without permission
  • Upload content that infringes the rights of any third party

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and underlying formulation algorithms, is the property of Afristock Nutrition Ltd. Data you input (recipes, specifications, organisation data) remains yours; we do not claim ownership over your content.

8. Restricted Use

The Service is designed strictly for educational and professional feed formulation purposes. It is intended for use by qualified animal nutritionists, veterinarians, or certified professionals, and users are expected to possess the scientific knowledge necessary to evaluate the safety and suitability of any output formulas before applying them.

9. No Liability for Unqualified Use

Afristock Nutrition Ltd accepts no liability for outcomes resulting from use of the Service by unauthorized or unqualified individuals. Any reliance on software-generated data by non-professionals is done entirely at the user's own risk. Afristock Nutrition Ltd is not responsible for animal health issues, financial losses, or other damages arising from misuse of the Service.

10. Verification of Outputs

Software outputs are automated calculations and do not replace professional, real-world judgment. Qualified users must manually verify all formulations against local regulations and applicable safety standards before use.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

12. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." Formulation outputs are tools to assist decision-making and do not replace professional nutritional, veterinary, or regulatory judgment. To the extent permitted by law, Afristock Nutrition Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
